Element Six is the world's leading supplier of high quality superabrasives and industrial diamond materials, including synthetic and natural diamond and the complementary superabrasive cubic boron nitride (cBN).
Diamond and cBN products are mainly used in the manufacture of tools for applications including drilling, sawing, cutting, grinding and polishing of different materials such as ferrous and non-ferrous metals, natural stone and concrete, wood based materials, plastics, glass and ceramics.
Numbers for the site visit are restricted to members only and pre-registration is required.

SPEAKERS
Marie McCarthy, Senior Inspector has worked as regulatory toxicologist with the Health and Safety Authority for a number of years. She has been actively involved in the negotiation of REACH at EU level and in the development of technical guidance to support REACH through the European Commission’s Interim Strategy.
John P. Farris, CIH, President & CEO, SafeBridge Consultants, Inc. SafeBridge is a professional technical firm of health professionals and other scientific consultants providing EH&S services to pharmaceutical, fine chemical, and biotechnology industries. John’s expertise includes executive management, industrial hygiene, laboratory safety, control of potent pharmaceutical compounds, environmental protection and environmental remediation.
David O’Malley FFOH is an Occupational Hygienist for 30 years with experience in industry and consultancy, and currently runs Genesis Environmental Ltd. Originally trained as an Engineer, David has considerable experience in the design of engineering controls, including LEV. David is the Registrar of the FOH.
Steve Bailey works for GlaxoSmithKline as Vice President of Environment, Health and Safety. He has worldwide responsibility for development of corporate strategy and policy on emerging EHS issues. Steve is President-Elect of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) and is a past president of the former Institute of Occupational Hygienists (now the Faculty of the BOHS).
Patricia Mc Donnell is currently studying for a PhD at NUI Galway in the area of Occupational Hygiene. Prior to commencing the PhD, Patricia has worked in occupational hygiene consultancy and research at the Air Quality Technology Centre, also at NUI Galway.
Patricia has an Honours degree in Microbiology and an MSc in Occupational Health and Safety and Ergonomics.
Colin Doyle is a Physics graduate who converted to a career in acoustics. Based in Denmark with Bruel & Kjaer he provided technical support for advanced noise and vibration applications. Colin has travelled extensively in India providing acoustics and vibration measurement support for university, industrial, military and space research customers. On returning to Ireland he established ANV Technology in 1995 to provide advanced sound and vibration measurement and consultancy services.
John Walsh is MD of Quantum Scientific Ltd. He is a graduate from London University with a General Degree in Chemistry and Mathematics. QSL specialises in the sales and service of gas detection and other IH equipment for the past 20 years.
