‘Skin Cancer Prevention at Work’

This presentation will provide information on Ultra Violet (UV) radiation exposure protective measures and is applicable to every sector involving outdoor work.

Presenter: John Egan works as an Executive for Safety & Training at the Construction Industry Federation (CIF). John provides support for those engaged in construction work, primarily in the sphere of health, safety and wellbeing.

PRESENTATION 2

'Overview of Uisce Éireann (Irish Water) Facilities Management approach with specific focus on utilising smart HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems to monitor and control Indoor Air Quality in the office environment.’

The presentation will provide a high level overview of facilities management in Uisce Éireann with a specific focus on the team responsible for the implementation of the HVAC response and Indoor Air Quality management. It will include the journey and lessons learned from the implementation of same.

Presenter: Darryn Marshall, Uisce Éireann Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for Facility Management service provision in Regional Uisce Éireann commercial offices and operational sites. Darryn has over fifteen years’ experience in the Facilities Management sector both as an on service provider and as a client of the industry. Darryn is an Electrical Engineer, NEBOSH Certified and holds the BIFM Diploma in Facilities Management.

'The Boston Scientific COVID Experience'

This presentation will outline the Boston Scientific approach to mitigation of COVID 19 transmission.

Presenter: Tara Carr. Educated in the University of Limerick, University College Cork and Trinity College Dublin, Tara holds a Degree in Environmental Science, a Diploma and Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, a Masters in Project Management and a Higher Diploma in Fire Safety.

Tara has over 20 years EHS experience in Ireland, Europe, United States and Asia. She is currently the Senior EHS Manager in Boston Scientific Galway, previous to this she spent 15 years in Analog Devices as EHS Director and previous to that held senior EHS roles in GE Healthcare and General Semiconductor.
